Caring for all animals, birds and wildlife

Wildlife

Our Wildlife is of especial interest to us.

Any wild creature you can easily see or pick up is distressed.

Please don't disturb them unnecessarily. You can always take a photo & phone us for advice on 6437 1331.

If you do pick them up, please BRING THEM IN. We will nurture and save them if it is at all possible to do so, and then work with a network of Widlife Carers to ultimately release them back into the wild in concert with DPIWE.

See animal care information for information on individual wildlife care.

This Rock Hopper Penguin was brought to Penguin Veterinary Centre after waddling into a seaside store. He proved healthy and alert, and was released back into the wild by National Parks rangers.
